In 2011 the company Tod's S.p.A., for the building of the Hangar used for the shed of the company's private aircraft, asked GammaDoors for a motorized side sliding door with two shutters, each of which is composed of 9 leaves, to reach a free height of 10 meters and a width of 36 meters.
GammaDoors, for this specific task, designed the Levriero Aluminium door (see model Levriero Aluminium), whose frame supporting the door leaf is made of an extruded aluminium alloy profile measuring 145 x 100 mm.
The result is a door that is light and at the same time highly resistant to pressure/depressions due to atmospheric agents.
The lower rail system consists of a rail fixed on crosspieces embedded in the reinforced concrete beam, with lower wheels sized to support the weight of the door and ensure a slight rolling.
The upper rail system, with double aluminium profile anchored to the metal carpentry beam and upper rollers directly fixed on the hinge pins, is designed to oppose the wind load.
The Levriero Aluminium door is three-phase motorised and adopts a semi-automatic operating system.
