The Italian Air Force in 2021 started a program to build 6 softshelters for the needs of the new Eurofighter vehicle (F 2000) at the 37th A.M. Stormo Trapani - Birgi Airport.
For the accesses of the softshelters, GammaDoors realized 12 doors model Panorama 80 (see model Panorama 80) powered.
The single leaves, 80 mm thickness, have been built with a closed retractable frame, realized with a totally galvanized open profile produced and patented by GammaDoors.
The compartment that Panorama 80 covers reaches a free height of 9 meters and a width of 19 meters.
The upper rail has been realized with special aluminium profiles EN-AW-6082 drawn by GammaDoors.
The lower rail, suitable for the sliding of the pivoting wheels in C-42 steel, has been realized by means of a press-folded galvanized steel, placed flush with the floor, in the middle of which is fixed a drawn round bar in C-42 steel with a diameter of 28 mm on which the wheels slide.
The GammaDoors has guaranteed a resistance to wind load of class 5 certified by the Istituto Giordano S.p.A (see certificate).
