International Flight Training School (IFTS) Project Panorama 140 - Panorama 80

The Leonardo Group has started the construction and infrastructure works for the "International Flight Training School (IFTS)" Program at the Decimomannu Military Airport.

GammaDoors has designed and built 9 doors model Panorama 80 (see model Panorama 80) and 2 doors model Panorama 140 (see model Panorama 140), both powered with semi-automatic running system.

Frame 80 - The single leaves, 80 mm thickness, have been built with a closed hidden frame, realized with a totally galvanized open profile produced and patented by GammaDoors.

The coating is made of double sheet metal, galvanized and pre-painted, thickness 6/10 with embossed finish. The insulation is made up of polyurethane foam with a density of 43 Kg/Mc injected with a high-pressure system that independently manages the working parameters, that is product and press plate temperatures, working pressures, mixing ratios and casting times.

The space that the Panorama 80 covers reaches a free height of 8 meters and a width of 17 meters.

Frame 140 - The 140 frame is built with an exclusive aluminum profile of size 140 x 105 mm (alloy EN-AW-6005-T6), made with a profile manufactured and patented by GammaDoors. The profile is designed for the fixing of hinges with concealed screws, for the anchorage of gaskets and for the fixing of both panel and glass infill.

The compartment that the Panorama 140 covers reaches a free height of 9 meters and a width of 38 meters.

For both models, the upper rail has been realized with special aluminium profiles EN-AW-6082 owned by GammaDoors (see Upper rail).

For both models, the lower rail, suitable for the sliding of the pivoting wheels in C-42 steel, has been realized by means of a press-bend, placed flush with the floor, at the center of which is fixed a drawn round bar in C-42 steel with a diameter of 28 mm on which the wheels slide.

GammaDoors guarantees a class 5 resistance to wind load certified by the Istituto Giordano S.p.A.(see certificate).
